Compressive Sensing in Digital Pathology

CS techniques can improve digital pathology workflows.  Whole Slide Images, which are very high resolution digitized versions of patient tissue samples, can be many gigabytes in size.  This enormous size combined with the fact that the great majority of the data has no important information for pathology creates a huge waste of time for the pathologist and an opportunity for CS.  Using global detection and classification techniques in the compressed domain, CS algorithms developed by InView can perform a faster first look at the entire WSI, highlighting important features for closer inspection by the pathologist.
